Dear Family & Friends,
Hi everybody! I have had a good fall so far! I really love all the colorful leaves on the ground, especially when I get to "help" my brothers and dad rake them. My family and I have gone on a lot of walks to enjoy the color of our mountain so far.
We got to go to Saint George on a vacation! Brando didn't get to come because he had to work at the cookie place. But the rest of us had fun sightseeing, and we saw red rock instead of red leaves. We also got to play with our friends the Hilliards and the Deweys! Saint George does not look like Woodland Hills at all!My brother turned 18 this month! I can't even count to 18. I loved that his friends came over, because I love getting attention and showing off! I love my brother, and I did him the honor of eating the snacks he got for his birthday! Someday I will be as big as my big brother.
I love my puppy! Chowder and I are together all day (much to mom's dismay), and we are best buddies! Sometimes I am not nice to my puppy, but he is such a patient dog and loves me all the same. I am so grateful to my parents for getting me someone to play with while my brothers are at school.
I got to carve pumpkins on Halloween! When I say I got to carve, I mean I told daddy what I wanted. I made the best pumpkin ever! I love having such great experiences. They will become great memories!
We got to go see the witches! Gardner Village used to be easier to go to, but we still found ourselves down there after my brothers had soccer games. I got to wear my Batman costume! I even have a cool mask, to match the masks everyone else is wearing.
Do you know what I love? Apples. Do you know what else I love? Sprinkles and candy. So what did we make? Caramel apples! I helped mommy make delicious caramel apples, and I love to decorate apples and sugar cookies. I enjoyed eating them too!
I got to have a cool Halloween party with my neighbors! We got to eat candy, make spiders out of spaghetti, and throw glitter over the entire house! (My parents were pleased) I am so glad to have such great friends in my mountain neighborhood!
We also got to decorate sugar cookies at our party! I used more sprinkles and candy than the actual cookies! I also managed to get sprinkles all over the table! So fun!
Because people are getting sick, a fire truck came to give kids candy instead of trick-or-treating. I love fire trucks, so this was a win-win situation! I will take any opportunity to be Batman! I am so grateful for the firemen and police for keeping us safe.
All of my friends had such cool costumes! This was definitely a weird Halloween to be introduced to costumes and trick-or-treating, but I loved every minute of it! Hopefully next year I'll be able to go door to door for delicious candy!
I have loved October! Having no responsibilities makes life so fun! I miss all of my family, and I can't wait to see you guys again! I can't wait to continue exploring the world!
Love,
Sam Wade Barnhisel
