November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful November. I did! I got to play with lots of cousins. Evelyn and Adeline came over one day to play which was super fun. I'm not used to having other kids at my house.

And one night we got to have my cousin Clark over. That was fun. He loves stairs and since we have so many in our house I think he would just move right in if he could. He likes to love on me. It was fun to have a friend over.

When I don't have a cousin or brother to play with, I love on my stuffed animals ... HARD! I am definitely a lover!

For Thanksgiving we went down to St George to Grandpa Clark and Grandma Chris' house. It was really nice weather. There are really awesome parks near their house so we played there a lot. I loved it!

We also did some fun hiking with my Barnhisel cousins. I am a great hiker. I don't have to stay behind just because I am the littlest. It was really cool to explore Snow Canyon.

I am growing well and learning a lot. I sleep great, nap great, eat great when I am interested and am primarily a very happy guy. My favorite thing in the world is my dad. If he's home I want him holding me. I love him. He's my hero. Don't come between me and my daddy, that's all I'll say.

Hope you are all doing well. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy December.

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone! How are you? I am great! I had a fun October. I got to go to Gardner Village a couple times this month. I am not sure about this whole Witches thing but I do love running around checking things out. I'm sure I'll be over there more now because Brandon works at the Naborhood Bakery now.

Speaking of baking, mom and I like to bake. I like to sit at the counter and test her work. I'm very helpful!

This month we celebrated Brandon's 16th birthday! Brandon's OLD now!

I got to go to lots of Halloween parties this month. I went to Kyle's 5th grade class party ...

Eric's Jr High school dance ...

And our family Halloween party at Uncle Darren & Aunt Cindy's house. That was really fun!! I love exploring their backyard!!

It's starting to get colder so in true Barnhisel fashion I listen for the furnace to turn on and go and plop myself on the heater with a blanket to warm up. :)

I went Trick-or-Treating on Halloween which was AWESOME!! Did you know that you can go up to people's houses and they will just give you candy!?!  It's so great!

I hope you all had a great Halloween and are looking forward to the holidays! I know I am!

September Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone. Hope you are enjoying fall. I had a great September. We went up to the cabin over Labor Day weekend. Grandpa Pat came with us which was super fun. We went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous and got to see lots of cool things!

I am very much a one year old. I love to help my brothers with anything that they forget to leave out. Eric's homework is so easy!!

I love to play outside. I have a slide and a trampoline that I love to play on. I also LOVE puddles! I like to put my face in them and come in dripping.

I made a great discovery this month. Belly Buttons are so cool!! Sometimes when I am playing I'll just stop what I am doing to check that my belly button is still there.

I get to go on lots of dates with mom and dad, usually worked around soccer practices. It's fun!

Dad, mom, Eric and I went up to the cabin towards the end of the month to see the changing colors. I loved it. I loved walking on the leaves and hearing them crunch. It was beautiful up there.

I am growing well and learning new things every day. I have a strong personality and want my way often. But I am also a very good boy. I clean up all my toys when asked and am a very good listener.

I hope you are all doing well.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying summer. We have been up to our cabin a couple times this months and I LOVE IT UP THERE! I have claimed ownership over all three of my brothers dump trucks and love to play in them and push them around. I love to throw rocks and continue to baffle my parents as to whether I am right handed or left handed because I trade off and throw equally well with each. My favorite thing to do is to drive the 4-wheelers. I have learned a new word thanks to the cabin. "Ot" (hot) which I say very sternly at the fire. I like to throw things in the fire: sticks, rocks, etc even though it's "Ot!"

My brothers started school this month. They leave early in the morning and mom and I hang out at home or go out and try to find some adventures. I love the park, especially the swings!! I miss my brothers but it's ok. I just spend the day playing toys and then when my brothers get home we all get crazy together!

I hope that you are all doing well.

Checked out a parade and got some candy ...

Discovered that I LOVE swimming ...

Ate a lot of watermelon and other yummy stuff with my brothers ...

Played a lot of cards ...

Discovered a love for music you can make while banging things ...

Swam in a crater ...

Did a lot of playing ...

And basically got into everything that I am not supposed to get into!

It was a good month! I hope things are going well for you.

June Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone! How are you? I am doing great! I am having a very fun summer. I have discovered that I love snow cones and otter pops!!

I also love light sabers and the trampoline and have learned to actually jump on the tramp!

I am undecided about baths. Sometimes I am happy to take one, other times I scream like someone just cut off my arm when taken towards the bath.

I love the mountains, and anywhere outside for that matter. We hiked to Cecret Lake for Father's day weekend and that was really cool. I say "hiked" but really I mean that I get hauled around for most of it, living the life. ;)

We got our kitchen remodeled this month and it's very cool. For some reason, mom felt like she had to get child proof latches on the new cupboards really quickly. How rude!

I spend a lot of time playing with my big brothers. They love me. I am the "sun" in our house. Everything revolves around ME!

I also love the cabin. We have so much fun up there and I love exploring around.

I had my 15 month check up this month. I am 31.25" and 23.1 lbs. I hope that you are all doing well and having a good summer. I hope I get to see you all soon.

May Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello! Hope you had a great May. I have. We've had very nice weather. I love to be outside. I helped mom plant the garden. I am always happy so long as I can be outside.

I love all balls, but basketballs are my favorite. Mom thinks it's because they are the dirtiest. ;)

We had a nice Mother's Day. We ate well that day!

We've had a lot of rain this month which everyone seems really happy about. I love rain. It's fun!

I manage to get into all the things that I'm supposed to be locked out of. Aren't I supposed to tear off these baby proof latches and play with them?

We went to our cabin for Memorial Weekend. That was so fun! The ground is really uneven up there, so much harder for me to get around on. But I sure love the deck and the steps!

And of course I love the 4-wheelers!! I get to ride between mom and dad and it's so cozy and fun. I just love to look around at the world!!

I still don't say much in the way of recognizable words but I do yell and hollar at the world a lot. It's pretty funny. I really have a lot to say! I also continue to throw everything that I can get my hands on. It's only a matter of time before something gets broken. Everyone also locks the door to the garage because it is the one doorknob in the house that I can open on my own and if I had my way I'd be out in the garage or the front yard all day. Everyone is constantly closing doors all over the house. You'd think they were trying to keep me out or something!?!

I am enjoying summer and having my brothers home during the day. My brothers are cool!
