Lots of pictures to explain a very strange month.
It started out great with a birthday party for me and my friend Sage who have birthday's one day apart.
My birthday gave us beautiful weather and being that I am an OUTSIDE KID I loved it!! We celebrated my birthday as a family as well with cake and new puzzles!
My friends the Hillyards gave me a super cool hand-me-down motorcycle which I ride every chance I get! I spend a lot of time yelling at Kyle that he has to stay outside with me while I ride.
I had my very first Speech Therapy class this month. I was wiggly and had a hard time staying put in my chair during the story time but they are so nice and I loved it.
And then everything changed. That first class was my last "in school" class, at least for the time being. Thanks to the Corona Virus, everything has shut down, "Social Distancing" has become a house hold word, stores have had their shelves cleared of pretty much everything and are working night and day to try to keep things in stock while limiting purchases. My brothers' schools have been shut down and they are now doing their school work virtually until at least May 1st. I do love having them home. We got on a lot of walks although all the playgrounds have been closed. There isn't a lot for them to do which has been hard on them but for me I just play play play with them.
We set up the trampoline as one thing to do and I love to jump with them.
St Patricks day still brought green pancakes which was fun and we did go across the street and do a St Patricks day craft with my friend Blair from across the street that afternoon. Her family are the only ones that we see during this quarantine time. I'm glad to have one friend to play with and go on walks with. And her grandparents live behind her and have a really fun yard so that has become our park.
My school is also online now. I get to work on my sounds every Thursday with my teacher.
We also have church at home now as well. No more nursery for me right now. Church at home is cool though. I also spend a lot of time cooking with my brothers. Kyle bought himself a pasta maker and has been learning how to make homemade pasta and I like to help him. And of course I love helping Billo (aka Brandon) make cookies.
We had beautiful, 60+ degree weather towards the end of the month followed by a big snow storm. Sledding and snow ball fights!!
The Easter Bunny came around to visit as well which was so fun. He came on the city firetruck. I spent all day waiting for him. Because of the virus they put a bag of treats for each kid on their driveway. It was so nice to have something special like that.
In addition to playing outside, I do a lot of puzzles and a lot of coloring. Life in quarantine has been good for me. Life is slower and my family is home together more.
Hope you are all doing well and are healthy and happy.
Love Sam Wade Barnhisel
