December Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great December and have lots of things that you look forward to in the new year!  We went downtown to Temple Square and saw the lights which was awesome! I got to get pushed around all bundled up and cozy.  I've got the life!

We had our Barnhisel Family Christmas party at Aunt Melissa's house.  Their dog really likes me.  She licks me a lot.  I must taste really good!

I got to open presents which was fun once I got a hold of it and could get it to rip. I did need some help though.

On Christmas Eve we had out own little family time at home.  We all got joggers and tracked Santa and watched Christmas movies and had fun together.  We also put out cookies for Santa.

On Christmas morning we found stuff in our stockings and a big sack delivered just for me from Santa.  I got a bowl for my Cheerios, some sippy cups, bath toys and a stuffed animal.  It was super fun to open more presents.  Oh and Eric gave me my favorite ... peanut butter!

We spent the week between Christmas and New Years down in St George with Grandma Chris, Aunt Amy and Aunt Lizzy & Uncle Wyatt and Lydia.  It was really fun and we had really nice weather.  We stopped off at the new Cedar City temple on our way down.  That was really great.

While down there we did a lot of hiking and Aunt Amy taught us how to "Earth".  It was such a great trip and we had so much fun and really enjoyed the clear blue sky!!

I had my 9 month checkup this month.  I weigh 20.5 lbs and am 29.2" tall.  That puts me in the 44th percentile for my weight and the 77th percentile for my height.  I learned to army crawl and now I get around wherever I want to go.  I do get up on my knees some, into a plank position but haven't quite figured out how to crawl on my knees yet. I pretty much eat everything and just love all food!  When I'm happy or excited I circle my toes, both outward which is pretty cute!  It's easy to tell when I'm excited!

I hope you are all doing well and have a great 2018!

November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I did.  I got two feasts.  One on Sunday at Grandma Chris' and one on Thanksgiving day at my house.  They were both fun and I got to eat rolls and mashed potatoes and pies.  It was great!!  I love food.  I shovel it into my mouth as fast as I can and still end up wearing almost as much as I actually eat.

It was fun to have my Sintay cousins in town for Thanksgiving and also to hang out with Uncle Ryan & Aunt Alisa and there family and Grandpa O'Berry.

Everyone loves me and my cousin Adeline.  We are both super chill babies and just hang out.  I have fun with Adeline! :)

I got to see Santa.  He's pretty cool.  He gave me a candy cane and has a really cool beard I can tug on.  I think I'm going to like that guy!

While everyone was in town we celebrated my dad's 42nd birthday.  He's old.  But that's ok.  I like to tug on his beard too.  We got him a NES which is super cool.  He likes to play it because it only has two buttons.  He doesn't like the new video game systems, too complicated he says.

Our house is all decorated for Christmas and we have our Christmas tree up.  I love to sit by the tree and check out the lights and the different textures.  I often end up with a pile of gold glitter in my lap but mom says that's ok because I'm so stinkin cute.

I am super close to crawling.  I get high centered on my belly and just end up shaking in place a lot but I am finally starting to get my knees up under me so hopefully next month I will be able to say that I'm on the move.

I'm looking forward to checking out this whole Christmas thing everyone keeps talking about.  I hope you like it also.

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone!  How are you?  I am doing great!  Cherbic as always! ;)  Mom has a hard time helping me with my letters because she has so many pictures of me, it's hard to choose which ones to include.

The biggest thing we did this month was go on a cruise to the Bahamas!  It was really fun.  I loved to people watch and see all the lights and check everything out.  My brothers will tell you more about it.  I mostly hung out, slept and ate!  I got peanut butter every day which was AWESOME!!!

The beach was fun.  I tried sand.  I love the texture, not so much the taste!

In Freeport we went to church and that was great.  Everyone there seemed to really like me! ;)

We spent a day in Charleston, SC before we flew home.  It was a really cool place!  I ate lots more there!

For Halloween I was a Lion.  I was pretty cute ...just sayin'.

Mom chaperoned the Junior High dance and I went with her.  Pretty sure I got more attention and phone numbers from the ladies then either Brandon or Eric.  Brandon's no dummy, he likes having me around though. ;)

For our family Halloween party we were all bikers.  I was pretty tough looking I must say.  It was at Uncle Darren & Aunt Cindy's house.  It was super fun!

We also carved pumpkins and enjoyed spending time outside this month.  October was a beautiful month.  I love leaves!

I am almost 8 months old.  I am thinking about crawling but not quite there yet.  I love my tongue.  It's pretty much always out.  When I am getting tired it comes out even more.  I am a total angel baby.  I never give anyone any trouble.  I cry when I'm tired or hungry and as soon as I'm fed or put to bed then I am fine again.  I got my flu shot this month and not only did I not cry but I didn't even looked concerned when they did it.  I am learning to love lots of new food and enjoy eating.  The cruise helped some with that.

I hope that you are all doing well and that I get to see you soon.

September Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hi everyone!  This was a great month for me.  First off I FINALLY got to meet my Grandma Jinx! She loves me (of course)! :)  We had a fun time up at the cabin with her and lots of family.

My brother Eric is on the school cross country team so I go to his meets a lot.  I also go to Brandon & Kyle's soccer games a lot.  It's fun!

Dad loves to wrassle us!  It's super fun.  I love my dad and my brothers!

Broncos season started this month ... YEAH!!!

We went up to the cabin at the end of the month and got to see some beautiful colors!  And my brothers always take such great care of me.  I'm very loved!

I had my 6 month check up this month.  I am growing really well. I weight 17 lbs 5 oz. I roll a lot and I love to eat!  I got my first cold this month so I have a bit of a cough and a little runny nose.  But it doesn't affect my sleep and even when I'm coughing I still smile. :)  Nothing phases me.  I am a cherub.

I hope you are all doing well.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone!  I am almost 6 months old now and I am getting really big!  I do lots of big boy stuff now.  I can hold my own bottle and feed myself.  I rock myself to sleep in my bouncy seat.  They call me the self rocking baby.  I am pretty self sufficient.  Before you know it I'll be out of my own!

Mom & I drove up to the cabin this month for a little date, just the two of us to help Aunt Ginger out with her 50th wedding anniversary party.  It was super fun.  Aunt Kimberly even gave me my first cowboy hat so I would fit in better with the Wyoming crowd.

My brothers went back to school this month.  I miss them when they are gone during the day but they spend lots of time with me once they get home.  They really love me and take very good care of me.

I no longer cry during baths.  I am growing up!  I like to reach towards the running water and feel it on my fingers.  I guess I have to admit that mommy was right all along, baths aren't so bad after all.

I have something in common with each of my brothers.  Like Brandon, I love my tongue.  When Brandon was my age he always had his tongue out just like me.  Eric is the Original Cherub so I take after him in many ways, especially looks and temperament.  And Kyle was a bouncer just like me. He also rocked himself in his bouncy seat either.  I am hoping to be as good of a jumper as Kyle some day.  I am just starting to learn to jump in my jumper, it's a new skill I'm working on. I'll report more about that next month hopefully.

I love to talk.  I giggle, screech and sometimes I really try to communicate with my family by moving my mouth trying to talk like everyone else but nothing comes out so I end up just moving my mouth. It's pretty dang cute!

I'm a very good eater and eat oatmeal and fruits and veggies every day.  I like to eat.

I am also a very good roller. I roll all over the place now and beam the whole time pretty proud of myself.

I hope that you are all doing well.

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  How are you?  I am doing great!  I just get sweeter and sweeter and better and better with age! :)

This month we celebrated 4th of July.  We got up early and went on an early morning hike.  I don't know why everyone thought it was so early.  Can't they just sleep through everything and get carried around ... that works for me!

That evening we had a family party at our house.  I got to hang with my gals: cousins Adeline and Mila.  We're all born within a few of each other but as the senior member of  the group I feel it's my responsibility to train them up!

We had a big fireworks show that evening.  I wasn't scared by the fireworks or anything but for some reason my dad felt the need to protect my ears from the loud bangs so this is how I had to enjoy the show.  Dad!

We've been up to our cabin a couple times this month.  I love it up there.  It's so nice to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.  And of course be catered to for my every whim also.  I've got it GOOD!  I love riding 4-wheelers with my family too. I just nestle into mommy and sleep the whole ride!

I started eating solid food this month.  I started with oatmeal and then once I got that down I got to try green beans.  Those weren't my favorite to say the least but after the first day of those I gave in and ate them without looking like I was going to gag.  Then I moved on to carrots which are my fav!  And then apples which are ok.  I'm getting good at this whole eating thing!

I spend a lot of time chilling at home with my brothers, hanging out at the pool with my brothers and mom and of course, napping ... being a baby is hard work!!  I also help mommy with work for her business.  I'm super helpful!

I had my 4 month checkup this month.  I weighed in at 15 lbs.  I was the smallest Barnhisel baby but have been packing on the weight and now I have passed up both Brandon and Kyle at their 4 month stats.  I just look and take after Eric more and more every day.  Dad calls Eric the "OC" (Original Cherub) and me C2 (Cherub version 2).  I love Eric and have the same happy temperament as Eric.

I am still sleeping through the night but now I don't have to be tanked up at 10:00 anymore.  I go to sleep between 7:00 - 8:00 and sleep until 6:00 - 7:00.  I'm such a good baby!  I still take a couple long naps during the day too.

I still love ceiling fans and I am getting really good at using my hands and love to latch on to whatever I can reach.  I especially love to grab a handful of mommies hair!  Mom got me a jumper.  I have not figured out how to jump yet but I do love that it helps me stand up because I love to stand.  I am finding my voice and love to talk. I also laugh out loud now which just makes everyone smile!  I have learned how to roll over, both from my tummy to my back and from my back to my tummy.  At first it scared me but now I don't mind it anymore.

I hope you are all doing well.
