Hello everyone. I hope you had a wonderful December and a wonderful holiday season! I have loved being in my new home in the mountains and having lots of snow to play in and time with mommy. We have our basement almost all the way finished thanks to our friend Ben Hillyard (who I call "Guy" and always tell him to "Paint House").
December is fun. I got to see Santa a lot. I have spent the month saying "Saasa Toos" (translation in Sam language to "Santa Toys". We went back up near our old house and went to Gardner Village which has always been a tradition for our family. I got to see Santa there. He kind of just stood there but I still liked him.
He also came to my town on the top of the fire truck which was super cool. He gave me some candy. My brothers wished that they had come with me. They were after my candy right away!
On Christmas Eve we went to my grandma Chris's house and she gave me the coolest present. TRUCKS!! Lots of them and every color!!!
I slept with them that night and have played with them for days!!
When we got home on Christmas Eve, Kyle and I put out cookies for Santa. I think he liked ours the best!
Because the next morning he had brought me a super awesome train table! It's AWESOME!!!
We've spent a lot of time over the break from school and work outside playing in the snow. I love the snow and sledding.
On New Years Eve we cooked our own fancy dinner and then had cake wars. Mommy frosted mine for me and then let me decorate it with hershey kisses and sprinkles. Mine actually turned out pretty cool. We each made them. It was fun! I have become quite a sweet-aholic and beg for treats all the time. I still live on a diet mostly of oatmeal and apple sauce but have developed a love for soup. Surprisingly, I love French Onion Soup which my mom thinks is quite odd but we'll take it.
I am continuing with speech therapy and am starting to get the 'K' sounds down. I am making good progress and although I need help with pronunciation, my vocabulary is really expanding.
I hope you are all doing well and are healthy and happy and enjoy the new year and new decade.
Love Sam Wade Barnhisel
